\nThe Goal<\/font><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

\n    W<\/font><\/span><\/b>HEN<\/font>
\nwe have passed beyond knowings, then we shall have Knowledge. Reason was the
\nhelper; Reason is the bar.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n
\n     <\/span>When we have
\npassed beyond willings, then we shall have Power. Effort was the helper; Effort
\nis the bar.<\/p>\n

     <\/span>When we have
\npassed beyond enjoyings, then we shall have Bliss. Desire was the helper; Desire
\nis the bar.<\/p>\n

     <\/span>When we have
\npassed beyond individualising, then we shall be real Persons. Ego was the
\nhelper; Ego is the bar.<\/p>\n

     <\/span>When we have
\npassed beyond humanity, then we shall be the Man. The Animal was the helper; the
\nAnimal is the bar.<\/p>\n

     <\/span>Transform reason
\ninto ordered intuition; let all thyself be<\/p>\n

 <\/span>light.
\nThis is thy goal.<\/p>\n

     <\/span>Transform effort
\ninto an even and sovereign overflowing of the soul-strength; let all thyself be
\nconscious force. This is thy goal.<\/p>\n

     <\/span>Transform
\nenjoying into an even and objectless ecstasy; let<\/p>\n

all
\nthyself be bliss. This is thy goal.<\/p>\n

    <\/span> <\/span>Transform the divided individual into the world-personality; let all thyself be
\nthe divine. This is thy goal.<\/p>\n

     <\/span>Transform the
\nanimal into the Driver of the herds; let all thyself be Krishna.
\nThis is thy goal.<\/p>\n

\nWhat I cannot do now is the sign of what I shall do hereafter. The sense
\nof impossibility is the beginning of all possibilities. Because this temporal
\nuniverse was a paradox and an impossibility, therefore the Eternal created it
\nout of His being.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n


\n     <\/span>Impossibility is
\nonly a sum of greater unrealised possibles. It veils an advanced stage and a yet
\nunaccomplished journey.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n


\n     <\/span>If thou wouldst
\nhave humanity advance, buffet all preconceived ideas. Thought thus smitten
\nawakes and becomes creative. Otherwise it rests in a mechanical repetition and
\nmistakes that for its right activity.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n


\n     <\/span>To rotate on its
\nown axis is not the one movement for the human soul. There is also its wheeling
\nround the Sun of an in- exhaustible illumination.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n


\n     <\/span>Be conscious
\nfirst of thyself within, then think and act. All living thought is a world in
\npreparation; all real act is a thought manifested. The material world exists,
\nbecause an Idea began to play in divine self-consciousness.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n


\n     <\/span>Thought is not
\nessential to existence nor its cause, but it is an instrument for becoming; I
\nbecome what I see in myself. All that thought suggests to me, I can do; all that
\nthought reveals in me, I can become. This should be man’s unshakable faith in
\nhimself, because God dwells in him.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n


\n     <\/span>Not to go on for
\never repeating what man has already done is our work, but to arrive at new
\nrealisations and undreamed-of masteries. Time and soul and world are given us
\nfor our field, vision and hope and creative imagination stand for our prompters,
\nwill and thought and labour are our all-effective instruments.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n


\n     <\/span>What is there
\nnew that we have yet to accomplish? Love, for as yet we have only accomplished
\nhatred and self-pleasing; Knowledge, for as yet we have only accomplished error
\nand perception and conceiving; Bliss, for as yet we have only accom-<\/span><\/p>\n

plished pleasure and pain and indifference; Power, for as yet we have
\nonly accomplished weakness and effort and a defeated victory; Life, for as yet
\nwe have only accomplished birth and growth and dying; Unity, for as yet we have
\nonly accomplished war and association.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n


\n     <\/span>In a word,
\ngodhead; to remake ourselves in the divine image.<\/span><\/p>\n
