\nThe Triumph-Song of Trishuncou<\/p>\n

<\/font>
\n<\/b><\/p>\n

I shall not die.<\/p>\n

            Although this body,
\nwhen the spirit tires<\/p>\n

Of its cramped
\nresidence, shall feed the fires,<\/p>\n

My house consumes, not I.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Leaving
\nthat case<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

 I find out ample and
\nethereal room.<\/p>\n

 My spirit shall avoid
\nthe hungry tomb,<\/p>\n

Deceiving death\u2019s embrace.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Night
\nshall contain<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

The
\nsun in its cold depths; Time too must cease;<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

The
\nstars that labour shall have their release.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

I<\/span>
\ncease not, I remain.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Ere
\nthe first seeds<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Were sown on earth, I
\nwas already old,<\/p>\n

And when now unborn
\nplanets shall grow cold<\/p>\n

My history proceeds.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I
\nam the light<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

In
\nstars, the strength of lions and the joy<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Of
\nmornings; I am man and maid and boy,<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Protean,
\ninfinite.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

I am a tree<\/p>\n

That stands out singly
\nfrom the infinite blue;<\/p>\n

I am the quiet faIling
\nof the dew<\/p>\n

And am the unmeasured sea.<\/p>\n

I hold the sky<\/p>\n

Together and upbear the
\nteeming earth.<\/p>\n

I was the eternal
\nthinker at my birth<\/p>\n

And shall be, though I die. <\/p>\n
