Silence watches the work of the ages; <\/span><\/p>\n

In the book of Silence the cosmic Scribe has written his cosmic pages;

Silence is all, say the sages. <\/span><\/p>\n

\n2 <\/span><\/p>\n

  <\/span><\/p>\n

What then of the word, O speaker? <\/span><\/p>\n

What then of the thought, O thinker? <\/span><\/p>\n

Thought is the wine of the soul and the word is the beaker; <\/span><\/p>\n

Life is the banquet-table<\/span> –
\nthe soul of the sage is the drinker. <\/span><\/p>\n

  <\/span><\/p>\n

  <\/span><\/p>\n

What of the wine, O mortal? <\/span><\/p>\n

I am<\/span> drunk with the wine
\nas I sit at Wisdom\u2019s portal, <\/span><\/p>\n

Wai<\/span>ting for the Light
\nbeyond thought and the Word immortal. <\/span><\/p>\n

I sit in vain at Wisdom\u2019s portal. <\/span><\/p>\n

  <\/span><\/p>\n

How shalt<\/span> thou know the Word when it comes, O
\nseeker? <\/span><\/p>\n

How shalt<\/span> thou know the Light when it breaks,
\nO witness? <\/span><\/p>\n

I shall <\/span>hear the voice
\nof the God within me and grow wiser and meeker; <\/span><\/p>\n

I shall be the tree that takes in the light as its food, I shall drink
\nits nectar of sweetness. <\/span>
