The Island Sun<\/font><\/span>   <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

I<\/font><\/b> have sailed the golden ocean <\/span><\/p>\n

                       
\nAnd crossed the silver bar;
\n            I have
\nreached the Sun of knowledge <\/p>\n

The earth-self \u2019s midnight star.<\/p>\n

Its fields of flaming vision, <\/span><\/p>\n

Its mountains of bare might,
\nIts peaks of fiery rapture, <\/span><\/p>\n

Its air of absolute light, <\/span><\/p>\n

  <\/span><\/p>\n

Its seas of self-oblivion, <\/span><\/p>\n

Its vales of Titan rest, <\/span><\/p>\n

Became my<\/span> soul\u2019s
\ndominion, <\/span><\/p>\n

Its Island Blest.<\/p>\n

Alone with God and silence, <\/span><\/p>\n

Timeless it lived in Time;
\nLife was His fugue of music, <\/span><\/p>\n

Thought was Truth\u2019s ardent rhyme.<\/p>\n

The Light was still around me <\/span><\/p>\n

When I came back to earth
\nBringing the Immortal\u2019s knowledge <\/span><\/p>\n

Into man\u2019s cave of birth.
