In the silence of the night-time, <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>In
\nthe grey and formless eve <\/span><\/p>\n

When the thought is plagued with loveless
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Memories
\nthat it cannot leave, <\/span><\/p>\n

  <\/span><\/p>\n

When the dawn makes sudden beauty <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Of
\na peevish clouded sky, <\/span><\/p>\n

And the rain is sobbing slowly <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>And
\nthe wind makes weird reply, <\/span><\/p>\n

  <\/span><\/p>\n

Always comes her face before me <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>And
\nher voice is in my ear, <\/span><\/p>\n

Beautiful and sad and cruel <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>With
\nthe azure eyes austere. <\/span><\/p>\n

  <\/span><\/p>\n

Cloudy figure once so luminous <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>With
\nthe light and life within <\/span><\/p>\n

When<\/span> the soul came rippling outwards <\/span><\/p>\n

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>And the red lips laughed at sin, <\/span><\/p>\n

  <\/span><\/p>\n

Com\u2019st<\/span><\/span> thou with that marble visage <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>From
\nwhat world instinct with pain <\/span><\/p>\n

Where we pay the price of passion <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>By
\na law our hearts disdain? <\/span><\/p>\n

  <\/span><\/p>\n

Cast it from thee, O thou goddess! <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Earning
\nwith a smile release <\/span><\/p>\n

From these sad imaginations, <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Rise
\ninto celestial peace. <\/span><\/p>\n

  <\/span><\/p>\n

Travel from the loveless places <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>That
\nour mortal fears create, <\/span><\/p>\n

Where thy natural heavens claim thee <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>And
\nthe gods, thy brothers, wait. <\/span><\/p>\n

  <\/span><\/p>\n

Then descend to me grown radiant, <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Lighting
\nup terrestrial ground <\/span><\/p>\n

With the feet that brighten heaven <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>When
\nthe mighty dance goes round   <\/span><\/p>\n

Circling in their luminous orbits <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Through
\nthe eternal thoroughfares. <\/span><\/p>\n

   <\/span><\/p>\n

All below is but confusion <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Of
\ndesires that strive and cry, <\/span><\/p>\n

Some forbidden, some achieving <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Anguish
\nafter ecstasy. <\/span><\/p>\n

   <\/span><\/p>\n

But above our radiant station <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Is
\nfrom which by doubt we fell, <\/span><\/p>\n

Reaching only after Heaven <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>And
\nachieving only Hell. <\/span><\/p>\n

   <\/span><\/p>\n

Let the heart be king and master, <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Let
\nthe brain exult and toil, <\/span><\/p>\n

Disbelieve in good and evil, <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>God
\nwith Nature reconcile. <\/span><\/p>\n

   <\/span><\/p>\n

Therefore, O rebellious sweetness, <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Thou tookst
\narms for joy and love. <\/span><\/p>\n

There achieve them! Take possession <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Of
\nour radiant seats above. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
