Part
\nI,  The Mother.   <\/font>T<\/font>HE MOTHER was first published in 1928. 
\nThe main part of
\nthis book describing the four Shaktis etc. and the opening portion were written
\nin 1927.  The rest was originally written as letters.  Since its first publication
\nthe book has gone into thirteen editions up to 1971.<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

\nII,  Letters on the Mother.  <\/span><\/font>L<\/font>ETTERS OF
\n<\/font>S<\/font>RI<\/font><\/span>
\nA<\/span>UROBINDO ON THE
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/font>M<\/font><\/span>OTHER was first
\npublished in 1951.  The letters included in this book were arranged under ten
\nsections.  These letters with additional material rearranged under eleven
\nsections formed Part III of <\/span><\/font>
\n<\/font>S<\/font><\/span>RI
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/font>A<\/font>UROBINDO ON<\/font>
\n H<\/font><\/span>IMSELF AND ON THE
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/font>M<\/font><\/span>OTHER 
\npublished
\nin 1953.  In the present volume of the Centenary Edition this part has been
\nfurther expanded by the inclusion of a large number of additional letters and
\nthe material has been rearranged under twelve sections. <\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Part III,  Prayers arid Meditations.  This collection is not complete. 
\nIt contains
\nonly the portions which Sri Aurobindo translated from the Mother’s <\/span><\/font>P<\/font><\/span>RI\u00c8RES ET
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/font>M<\/font>\u00c9<\/span>DITATIONS 
\nwritten in French.  These translations were first brought out in book-form
\nin 1941 and reprinted in 1948, 1954, 1962, 1969 and 1971.<\/font>
