All but a few of them are concerned with aspect of spiritual<br \/>\nphilosophy, yoga, and related subjects. Short writings on the Veda, the<br \/>\nUpanishads, Indian culture, political<br \/>\ntheory, education, and poetics have been placed in other<br \/>\nvolumes. <\/span> <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"text-indent: 25pt;line-height: 150%;margin-left: 0pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<span lang=\"en-gb\">The title of the volume has been provided by the editors.<br \/>\nIt is adapted from the title of a proposed collection, \u201cEssays<br \/>\nin Yoga\u201d, found in two of Sri Aurobindo\u2019s notebooks. Since<br \/>\n1971 most of the contents of the volume have appeared under<br \/>\nthe editorial title <i>The Supramental Manifestation and Other<br \/>\nWritings. <\/i> <\/span> <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"text-indent: 25pt;line-height: 150%;margin-left: 0pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<span lang=\"en-gb\">The contents are arranged in five chronological parts.
