In 1923 or 1924 I could not be described as sitting on the path, so far as the sadhana was<br \/>\nconcerned, but it may perhaps be only a metaphor or symbol for the outward form of the work not yet being ready. The<br \/>\nstatement about my having gone too high to redescend for work in the world was made in almost the identical terms by another<br \/>\nYogi also; it referred to my condition at the time and cannot be taken as anything more.<br \/>\n\t<\/span> <\/p>\n<p align=\"right\">\n<span lang=\"en-gb\"><br \/>\n<font size=\"2\">16 September 1935 <\/font> <\/span> <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"line-height: 150%;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n\t\t\t<span lang=\"en-gb\">&nbsp;<br \/>\n<\/span> <\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style=\"line-height: 150%;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<span lang=\"en-gb\"><b>Seeking the Way<br \/>\n<\/b><br \/>\n\t\t\t<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style=\"line-height: 150%;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n\t\t\t<i><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"line-height: 150%;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0;margin-left:25pt\">\n\t\t\t<span lang=\"en-gb\">X <\/span> <\/i><span lang=\"en-gb\">seems to have told <i>Y <\/i>that the old sadhaks, who were here before the Mother took up the work in 1926, had many experiences of Cosmic Consciousness, etc., meaning to convey that their sadhana was much better and more serious than what<br \/>\npeople are doing now. <\/span> <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"line-height: 150%;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n\t\t\t<span lang=\"en-gb\">&nbsp;<br \/>\n <\/span> <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"line-height: 150%;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n\t<span lang=\"en-gb\">Before the Mother came all were living in the mind with only<br \/>\nsome mental realisations and experiences. The vital and everything else were unregenerated and the psychic behind the veil.<br \/>\nI am not aware that anyone of them at that time entered the cosmic consciousness.
