\n1. Alpha of all letters the first,<\/span><\/p>\n

\nOf the worlds the original Godhead the beginning.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n2. What fruit is by learning, if thou adore not<\/span><\/p>\n

\nThe beautiful feet of the Master of luminous wisdom?<\/span><\/p>\n

\n3. When man has reached the majestic feet of him whose walk is on flowers,<\/span><\/p>\n

\nLong upon earth is his living.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n4. Not to the feet arriving of the one with whom none can compare,<\/span><\/p>\n

\nHard from the heart to dislodge is its sorrow.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n5. Not to the feet of the Seer, to the sea of righteousness coming,<\/span><\/p>\n

\nHard to swim is this different ocean.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n6. When man has come to the feet of him who has neither want nor unwanting,<\/span><\/p>\n

\nNowhere for him is affliction.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n7. Night of our stumbling twixt virtue and sin not for him, is<\/span><\/p>\n

\nThe soul on the glorious day of God’s reality singing.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n8. In the truth of his acts who has cast out the objects five from the gates of the senses,<\/span><\/p>\n

\nStraight if thou stand, long shall be thy fullness of living.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n9. Some are who cross the giant ocean of birth; but he shall not cross it<\/span><\/p>\n

\nWho has touched not the feet of the Godhead.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n10. Lo, in a sense unillumined no virtue is, vainly is lifted<\/span><\/p>\n

\nThe head that fell not at the feet of the eightfold in Power, the Godhead.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nRain<\/font><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n

\n1. If the heavens remain dry, to the gods here in Nature<\/span><\/p>\n

\nHow shall be given the splendour of worship?<\/span><\/p>\n

\n2. If the heavens do not their work, in this wide world<\/span><\/p>\n

\nGiving is finished, austerity ended.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n3. The world cannot live without its waters,<\/span><\/p>\n

\nNor conduct be at all without the rains from heaven.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n4. If quite the skies refuse their gift, through this wide world<\/span><\/p>\n

\nFamine shall do its worst with these creatures.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n5. If one drop from heaven falls not, here<\/span><\/p>\n

\nHardly shalt thou see one head of green grass peering.<\/span><\/p>\n
