\n1. O Fire, guard us by thy lights<\/font>\u00b9<\/font> from
\nevery hostile force and from mortal foe.<\/font> <\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n2. O beloved in thy birth, mortal wrath
\nhas no power over you:<\/font>  thou
\nart master of the nights.<\/font> <\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n3. So do thou with all the gods, O child
\nof Energy, O happy light, give us the wealth in which are all boons.<\/font> <\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n4. The hostile forces, O Fire, cannot
\ndivorce from the Riches the mortal giver whom thou rescuest.<\/font> <\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n5. O Fire, O illumined seer, he whom thou
\nin the winning of the purity speedest towards the Riches, by thy protection
\nreaches among the Ray-Cows.<\/font> <\/p>\n

\n7. Protect us, deliver us not, O knower of
\nall things born, to the mortal, the evil-thoughted who would bring on us
\ncalamity.<\/font> <\/p>\n

\n8. O Fire, let none undivine take away
\nfrom us what was given by thee, the divine; thou hast power over the riches.<\/font>\n<\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n9. Thou art the measurer to us, thy
\nadorers of a mighty wealth, O child of Energy, O Friend, O shining One.<\/font>\n<\/p>\n

\n10. May our words go towards thee with thy
\nkeen light and thy vision, our sacrifice to thee with surrender for our
\nprotection, thee the widely proclaimed, the master of many riches, \u2014<\/font> <\/p>\n

\n11. to the Fire, the Son of force, the
\nknower of all things born, for the gift of our desirable things; twofold he
\nbecomes the immortal in the mortals, the rapturous Priest of the call in man.<\/font>\n<\/p>\n

\ngods. Fire in the journeying of the pilgrim-sacrifice. Fire in the thoughts
\nfirst and chief. Fire in the war-horse. Fire for perfection in our field.<\/font>\n<\/p>\n

\n13. May the Fire give us force in his
\ncomradeship, he who has power for the desirable things; Fire we seek continually
\nin the son of our begettings as the shining one and the guardian of the body.<\/font>\n<\/p>\n

\n14. Pray with your chants Fire of the keen
\nflame for the protection, O Purumilha! Fire for the Treasure, \u2014 the Fire men
\npray for the inspired knowledge, a house for a splendid light.<\/font> <\/p>\n

\n15. Fire we hymn with our words that he
\nmay remove from us the hostile power. Fire to give to us the peace and the
\nmovement; he is in all men like a protector to whom they may call, he is the

\n1. Do you make the offering, the Priest of
\nthe pilgrim-rite has come and he conquers again, for he knows the commandment of
\nthe Fire.<\/font> <\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n2. Let him sit within close to the keen
\nburning ray the Priest of the call in thinking man accepting the comradeship of
\nthe Fire.<\/font> <\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n3. Within they wish him to be in a man the
\n"terrible one", beyond the thinking mind; by his tongue they seize the peace.<\/font>\n<\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n4. High burnt the companion bow, a founder
\nof the growth he climbed to woodland, he smote the rock with his tongue.<\/font> \n<\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n5. He is the shining calf who wanders and
\nfinds none to bind him here, to one who lauds him he manifests the mother.\u00b9<\/font><\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n6. And now is the great and vast yoking as
\nif of the Horse, the rope of the chariot is seen.<\/font> <\/p>\n

\n7. Seven milk the one, two let loose the
\nfive at the ford of the River upon the cry of the waters.<\/font> <\/p>\n

\n8. By the ten of the sun Indra made fall
\nthe covering sheath of heaven with his triple mallet.<\/font> <\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n9. A new adoration moves round the triple
\npilgrim-sacrifice, the priests of the call anoint With the honey-wine.<\/font>\n<\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n10. With surrender they pour out the
\ninexhaustible pervading well whose wheel is on high and its opening below.<\/font>\n<\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n11. Close by are the stones and the
\nhoney-wine is poured in the lotus in the discharging of the well.<\/font> <\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n12. O Ray-Cows, come to the well; here is
\nthe great wine-jar of the sacrifice, here are both the golden handles.<\/font>\n<\/p>\n

\n13. Pour into the wine that is pressed, a
\njoining splendour, the glory of earth and heaven; by the juice of the wine
\nsustain the Bull.<\/font> <\/p>\n

\n14. They know their own home; like calves
\nwith their mothers they met with each other as companions.<\/font> <\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n15. In the jaws of the eater they made
\ntheir foundation in heaven, their prostrations of surrender to Indra and the
\nFire made the Sun-world.<\/font> <\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n16. The warrior milked out the
\nseven-planed nourishing force and energy by the seven rays of the sun.<\/font> \n<\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n17. O Mitra and Varuna, in the rising of
\nthe moon he received it on the sun; it is the healing draught for him who
\nsuffers.<\/font> <\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n18. And now let him stretch oul<\/font>\u00b9<\/font>
\nwith his tongue of flame around heaven that plane of him in his full delight
\nwhich is to be laid as a foundation.<\/font> <\/p>\n
