\n\t1.  Pray the Fire as he fronts you, worship with
\n\tsacrifice the knower of all things born. Fire with his driving smoke and his
\n\tunseizable light, \u2014<\/span><\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t2. fire who is like the string of speeding chariots to a
\n\tcompetitor in the race; O all-seeing universal mind, laud him with the word.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

\n <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t3. Those on whom he presses, possessor of the word of
\n\tillumination and seizes on their impulsions and their satisfactions, by
\n\ttheir approach to knowledge the Fire finds the Treasure.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t4.  Up stands his ageless light as he flames out
\n\twith his burning tusks, in his beautiful splendour, in the glory of his
\n\tcompanies.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t5.  Even so, stand up as they laud thee, O doer of
\n\tthe pilgrim-rite, shining out with thy divine light, with thy vast

\n\t6.  Go, O Fire, with perfect utterances of the word
\n\toffering uninterruptedly the oblations, since thou hast become the messenger

\n\t7. I call for you the ancient Fire, the Priest of the
\n\tcall of seeing men; him with this word I declare, him for you I laud.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t8.  Fire whom with the sacrifices, with the light
\n\tverily they speed like a friend firmly established in the man who possesses
\n\tthe Truth.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t9. To Fire the possessor of the Truth, the accomplisher
\n\tof the sacrifice, the seekers of the Truth have come with the word and
\n\tcleave to him in the seat of the adoration.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t10.  Let our sacrifices go towards him united in
\n\ttheir effort, to him most fiery-wise of the Angirasas<\/span>

\n\tburning flame, consume utterly the demon magicians, O hero, O lord of the

\n\tby magic can the mortal foe master the man who offers worship to the Fire

\n\t19.  Him immortal let the mortal hero make his
\n\tenvoy, the purifying Fire with his black path, vast in his wideness.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t20.  Him let us call putting forth the ladle, the
\n\tluminous, the brilliant in light, one to be prayed by men, the ancient and
\n\tunaging<\/span> Fire.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t21.  For the mortal who performs sacrifice to him by
\n\this gifts of the offering he founds much increase and a glory of his
\n\thero-strengths.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t22. To the Fire, the ancient, the first and supreme, the
\n\tknower of all things born in the sacrifices with the obeisance comes the
\n\tladle full of the oblation.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\tVyashwa<\/span> with these greatest and richest
\n\tthinkings<\/span> to Fire, the brilliant in light.<\/span><\/div>\n

\n\t25.  The guest of men, the son of the Trees, the

\n\t\tcall of the Atris<\/span>, of Shyavashwa2<\/sup>

\n\t\t9.  Thus have I called you for protection as the
\n\t\twise have ever called you, for the drinking of the Soma (wine), O Indra,
