\n\t\t\tqueen’s closet, her legs were marble pillars very clear- cut, her
\n\t\t\tface ivory flushed by the dawn. <\/span> <\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tHe frowned on her like a dark cloud instinct with
\n\t\t\train over a tall white ship at sea.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe full orb of her loveliness revealed as when
\n\t\t\tthe fleecy gown is stripped from the shoulders of the moon and she
\n\t\t\tstands naked in heaven. <\/span>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tHer gait was the swan’s in stateliness, the

\nFireflies drizzled in the dark<\/span><\/p>\n

\nThe glow-worm was a crawling spark,<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tWas eloquent of Iran’s gold<\/span><\/p>\n

\nDropping fine threads of glory down<\/span><\/p>\n

\nHis eyes were drops of smelted ore<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThat in a foundry chase:<\/span><\/p>\n

\nHis lips a cruel promise wore,<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tA marble pride his face.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nAs shows thro’ gold caparison<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tLaburnum dusky-stemmed,<\/span><\/p>\n

\nThro’ silks in Persian harem spun<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tHis gorgeous body gleamed.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nOr as a lithe and tropic snake<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThat from some fine mosaic glares,<\/span><\/p>\n

\nOr spotted panther by a lake<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tBeneath the Indian stars.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nThis Orient vision burning-bright<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tSnapped close his bridle silver-lined<\/span><\/p>\n

\nBetween the moonlight and the night,<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe water and the wind.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nHis cry sang like a stormy shower<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tUpon a thundering sea:<\/span><\/p>\n

\nThrice drew the serpent cross of Mars,<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThrice clamoured where he stood.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nBut Thaliard saw a milkwhite star<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tGrow large against the moon,<\/span><\/p>\n

\nQuelled by whose candid flames, afar<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tMars’ ruby paled in a swoon.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n"Not here" he faltered like the wind,<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t"Not here, where murmurs poison sleep,<\/span><\/p>\n

\nWhen haunted memories grown half blind<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tTheir ghastly vigils keep.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nAnd Thought, the glorious infidel,<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tA helmed Paladin;<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tWhen shutting under cloudy bars<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAstarte’s radiant eye,<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tGod sowed with multitudinous stars<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe diamonds perished from the deep,<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tImagination, like a sponge<\/span><\/p>\n

\nWrung very pure of beauty, wept,<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAs from his pores with a tired plunge<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tHis flakes of fancy leaped.<\/span><\/p>\n
