But still the cannon at least is silent except where the<br \/>\n\t\t\tembers of war still smoke and emit petty flames in distracted Poland<br \/>\n\t\t\tand Russia, and peace though a lame and perhaps much mutilated peace<br \/>\n\t\t\tmust before long arrive.
