The soul is ever pure, the psychic being too is<br \/>\nalways pure and the inner remind, vital and physical can also<br \/>\nbecome pure, yet the old we saltnesses of character stick to the<br \/>\nouter nature of the external being for a long time; it is<br \/>\ndifficult to acquire a perfect purity&nbsp; complete sincerity,<br \/>\ndetermination; patience and an ever wakeful vigilance are<br \/>\nnecessary. If the psychic being remains in front, ever awake,<br \/>\nexercising its influence, there is nothing to fear, but often it is<br \/>\nnot so. The Rakshasi Maya, the evil nature, dupes the mind<br \/>\nand finds a way of entry through this old weak point. So<br \/>\nevery time it has to be chased away and the road blocked. <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style=\"text-indent: 15pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">*<\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style=\"text-indent: 15pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">*&nbsp;&nbsp; *<\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"text-indent: 15pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">The vital must not be desrtroyed; no work can be done<br \/>\nwithout it, indeed life could&nbsp; not be maintained. The vital has <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style=\"text-indent: 15pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\" size=\"2\" color=\"#0000FF\">Page-397<\/font><\/p>\n<hr align=\"justify\">\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\"><i>to<\/i> be transformed and made into an instrument of the<br \/>\nDivine. <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">*<\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">*&nbsp;&nbsp; *<\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"text-indent: 15pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">Keep within you the peace and the Mother&#8217;s force and<br \/>\nlight and do everything peacefully\u2014then there is no need of<br \/>\nanything else\u2014all this will clear up. <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"text-indent: 15pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style=\"text-indent: 15pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">*<\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style=\"text-indent: 15pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">*&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; *<\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"text-indent: 15pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">This is a conflict of two opposite influences\u2014when the<br \/>\ninfluence of the forces of truth touches the body, everything<br \/>\nis cured\u2014the influence of ignorance brings back disease,<br \/>\npain and neurosis. <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">&nbsp;&nbsp; All that is in the ignorance dwells as light-darkness within<br \/>\na universal consciousness, but that does not mean that light<br \/>\nand darkness have the same value. One has to reject<br \/>\ndarkness and welcome light. <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">&nbsp;&nbsp; It is not at all necessary to observe rules. If one refuses<br \/>\ncalmly, quietly and with determination, then gradually the<br \/>\nhold of ignorance falls away. If one is upset, (impatient,<br \/>\nblind or loses hope), then the forces of ignorance become<br \/>\nstronger and gather more courage to attack. <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">*<\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">*&nbsp;&nbsp; *<\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"text-indent: 15pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">The difficulties do not go away easily. Even all the<br \/>\ndifficulties of a very great sadhak do not disappear in a<br \/>\nmoment on a fixed day. I have already said it many times<br \/>\nthat one has to remain peaceful and unagitated and slowly<br \/>\nadvance with full trust in the Mother\u2014it cannot be done in <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style=\"text-indent: 15pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\" size=\"2\" color=\"#0000FF\">Page-398<\/font><\/p>\n<hr align=\"justify\">\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">an instant. &quot;I want everything today&quot;: if you make this<br \/>\ndemand, it may create more difficulties. One has to remain<br \/>\ncalm and quiet. <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">* <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">*&nbsp;&nbsp;   * <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"text-indent: 15pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">There cannot be any ego behind the psychic and the<br \/>\npsychic condition. However, the ego coming from the vital<br \/>\ntries to associate itself with the psychic. If you observe<br \/>\nanything of this nature, do not accept it but surrender it to<br \/>\nthe Mother in order to be freed from it. <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">The straight road is the way of the psychic; it goes up<br \/>\nwithout winding on the strength of surrender and in the light<br \/>\nof true vision; somewhat straight, somewhat circuitous is the<br \/>\npath of the mental askesis and completely tortuous is the<br \/>\npath of the vital, full of desire and lacking in knowledge; but<br \/>\nas the vital has true yearning, it is nevertheless possible to go<br \/>\nby that road. <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">*<\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">*&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; *<\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"text-indent: 15pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">First, the consciousness must be empty and vast in which<br \/>\nthe light and force from above can find room. If it is not<br \/>\nemptied, the old movements continue to play and the things<br \/>\nfrom above do not find a suitable place. <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"text-indent: 15pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">This kind of emptiness comes to the sadhak when the<br \/>\nhigher consciousness descends into the mind and the vital in<br \/>\norder to prepare them before occupying them. Also when<br \/>\ni the Self is experienced, its first touch brings a vast peaceful<br \/>\nemptiness; later on a vast and massive peace and silence, a<br \/>\n\/ calm and immutable Ananda descend into that emptiness. <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">* <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">*&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;   * <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style=\"text-indent: 15pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\" size=\"2\" color=\"#0000FF\">Page-399<\/font><\/p>\n<hr align=\"justify\">\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"text-indent: 15pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">In this yoga the realisation cannot be attained by going<br \/>\nupwards alone\u2014the realisation will come when the higher<br \/>\ntruth, peace and light, etc. descend and get fixed in the mind,<br \/>\nvital and body. <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"text-indent: 15pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">If the higher consciousness comes down and you reject all the falsehood of the mind, vital and body, the truth will be established. <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">It will not do to be entirely silent nor is it good. In the early<br \/>\nstage to remain silent and grave as much as possible is<br \/>\nfavourable to sadhana\u2014when the external nature will be full<br \/>\nof the Mother, the true consciousness will remain even while<br \/>\nspeaking and laughing, etc. <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"text-indent: 15pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">Contact with the higher consciousness and descent of the<br \/>\nnature of that higher consciousness, its peace, knowledge<br \/>\nand depth\u2014are the only means of obtaining siddhi in the<br \/>\nyoga. <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">&nbsp;&nbsp; The vital has to be controlled and the Force allowed to<br \/>\noccupy the mind, vital and body. <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">* <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">*&nbsp;&nbsp;   * <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"text-indent: 15pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">This state of sleep is very good. Sleep must be conscious<br \/>\nlike this. <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"text-indent: 15pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">It happens like this when sleep becomes conscious\u2014the<br \/>\nsadhana continues in sleep as in waking. <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"text-indent: 15pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">The rule in this sadhana is to bring down everything, to<br \/>\nhave all the spiritual experiences in the waking state. Of<br \/>\ncourse, in the early stages there is more meditation and it<br \/>\nmay be very beneficial right to the end\u2014but, if the experi-<br \/>\nences are obtained in meditation only, the entire being is not<br \/>\ntransformed. For this reason to have them in a waking state<br \/>\nis a good sign. <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style=\"text-indent: 15pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\" size=\"2\" color=\"#0000FF\">Page-400<\/font><\/p>\n<hr align=\"justify\">\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"text-indent: 15pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">Peace is the first to come; unless the whole instrument<br \/>\nbecomes full of peace, it is difficult for the knowledge to descend. Once peace<br \/>\nis established, the vast infinite consciousness of the Mother manifests itself; the ego is drowned<br \/>\nin it and finally disappears without leaving any trace. In that<br \/>\ninfinity only the Mother and her eternal portion are left. <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"text-indent: 15pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">This is very good. It is a genuine experience. When this<br \/>\npeace spreads in the entire being and becomes firm, solid and durable, the first<br \/>\nfoundation of the spiritual consciousness is established. <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"text-indent: 15pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">To bring down peace and force in the nervous system is the<br \/>\nonly way to strengthen the nerves. <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"text-indent: 15pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"text-indent: 15pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">*<\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">*&nbsp;&nbsp; *<\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"text-indent: 15pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">What you have been told from within is really true. Only<br \/>\nerrors, blunders, falsehood and sufering come from the<br \/>\nexternal consciousness which is a field for the play of the<br \/>\nlittle ego. One has to remain within\u2014the real consciousness<br \/>\nwhich has true feeling and true vision and is free from the<br \/>\nleast taint of ego, pride and desire; let that grow. Then the<br \/>\nMother&#8217;s consciousness will be established in you. Pride,<br \/>\nconflict and the difficulties of the human nature will come to<br \/>\nan end. <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"text-indent: 15pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">The more one thinks of the obstacles, the more power they<br \/>\nhave over one. One should open oneself to the Mother and<br \/>\nthink more of the Divine, of the light, peace and Ananda. <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"text-indent: 15pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">This limitless peace, the more it increases, the<br \/>\nbetter it is.&nbsp;<br \/>\nPeace is the foundation of the yoga. <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\" style=\"text-indent: 15pt;margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">When this empty state comes, remain calm and call the<br \/>\nMother. Everyone has this empty state, only when it is full of<br \/>\npeace, can it be beneficial.
