\n"How far have I come, how far yet have I to go?"\u2014such
\nquestions are not of much avail. With Mother as Pilot, swim
\nup-current. She will take you to your destined port.<\/font><\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n

\n*    *<\/p>\n

\nThe Mother alone is your destination. She contains every-
\nthing in herself. To have her is to have everything. If you live
\nin her Consciousness, there will be an automatic flowering of
\nevery other thing.<\/font><\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n

\n*    *<\/p>\n

\nThe Mother’s attitude never changes. It remains always
\nthe same. When a sadhak sees her according to his mental ;¦¦
\nideas, he finds her attitude changed. But this is not true.<\/font><\/p>\n

\n *    *<\/font><\/p>\n

\nIf there is ruin, how can there be transformation? Rather
\nthe old nature of the vital and of the body should be ruined
\nand not the vital and the body.<\/font><\/p>\n

\nIt is true that the Mother is in everybody and we should
\nhave a relationship with her there. But that is no human or
\npersonal relationship; it is oneness with her vast unity.<\/font><\/p>\n

\n  On one side is the increase of peace and the true consciousness; on the other, surrender. This alone is the real
\nway.<\/font><\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n

\nIt is a wrong desire to destroy the vital\u2014if the vital is
\ndestroyed, the body cannot live; if the body does not live,
\nsadhana cannot be done.<\/font><\/p>\n

\nPerhaps, you have pulled down so much power that the
\nbody cannot bear it. Everything will become all right if you
\ncan remain a little quiet.<\/font><\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n

\n* <\/font><\/p>\n

\n*    *<\/font><\/p>\n

\nYou are not without the Mother Divine. The Mother is
\nreally with you. It is to bring down the higher light and the
\nhigher consciousness that a sadhak goes down to hell. With
\nthis belief go on with a steady heart. The light and consciousness are sure to descend.<\/font><\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n

\n*<\/font><\/p>\n

\n *    *<\/font><\/p>\n

\nThe Mother is already within you. The work of Shakti is
\ngoing on behind the screen of the physical nature.<\/i> Finally<\/font><\/p>\n

\nwith the Light of the Mother the screen will become
\ntransparent.<\/i><\/font><\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n

\n*<\/p>\n

\n*   *<\/p>\n

\nOne has to practise spirituality silently, calmly, fearlessly
\nwith the constant belief that the victory of the Mother is sure<\/font><\/p>\n

\ni to take place.<\/font><\/p>\n

\n* <\/font><\/p>\n

\n*    *<\/font><\/p>\n

\nWho will go away? Those who have no sincerity, no faith
\nand trust in the Mother; those who look upon their own
\nimagination as something greater than the will of the
\nMother, they might go away. But he who seeks the Truth,
\nwho has faith and confidence, who wants the Mother, has
\nnothing to be afraid of; even if there are a thousand
\ndifficulties, he will surmount them; if he has numerous
\ndefects in his nature, he will rectify them; even if he falls, he
\nwill rise again and finally one day he will reach the goal of his
\nsadhana.<\/font><\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n

\n*<\/p>\n

\n*   *<\/p>\n

\nThis is not the right attitude, your sadhana has not been
\nruined; the Mother has not abandoned you; she has neither
\nmoved away from you nor is she displeased with you\u2014these
\nare vital imaginations and should not be given any place.
\nKeep a simple and quiet confidence in the Mother. Without
\nbeing afraid of the difficulties call in the Mother’s Force. All
\nthat you have received is inside; there will be even further
\nprogress.<\/font><\/p>\n

\nRemain quiet and conscious. Call the Mother, the good
\ncondition will return. To make full surrender takes time.
\nSurrender all that you find still remaining over. Only thus, by
\nrepeating it constantly, the surrender becomes complete.<\/font><\/p>\n

\nBe always calm and let the higher Consciousness of the
\nMother descend into you\u2014this alone will gradually trans-
\nform your external consciousness.<\/font><\/p>\n

\n* <\/font><\/p>\n

\nAdvance quietly by surrendering more and more. What-
\never transformation of the old is required will gradually be
\neffected.<\/font><\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n

\n*<\/p>\n

\n*    *<\/p>\n

\nThere is no sadhak, in spite of his being a child of the
\nDivine, who has not numerous little defects in his nature. As
\nsoon as one becomes aware of them, they have to be
\nrejected; one has to aspire more ardently for the Mother’s
\nForce so that these little defects of the nature may slowly be
\neradicated; but faith, surrender and reliance on the Mother
\nmust always remain intact. To get rid of these defects
\nentirely is a matter of time; one must not be disturbed
\nbecause they are there.<\/font><\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n

\nThis should not upset you. In the path of yoga such a
\ncondition invariably comes\u2014when it is time to descend into
\nthe physical consciousness and the subconscient, and it may
\nlast long. But the Mother is there behind the veil and she will reveal herself
\nlater on; this lower kingdom will be transformed into the kingdom of light that is above\u2014keep this
\nstrong faith and, by constantly surrendering all, advance
\ntowards the end of this stage that is full of difficulties.<\/font><\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n

\n*<\/p>\n

\n*   *<\/p>\n

\nRelation with the outer world must be maintained but ‘all
\nthat must remain on the outer surface. You should live
\nwithin, close to the Mother and watch everything from
\nthere\u2014this is what is wanted. It is the first step of the
\nKarmayoga. Then from within conduct all external work
\nwith the help of the Mother’s force. This is the second step.
\nIf you can do this, then you will not have any further trouble.<\/font><\/p>\n

\n*<\/font><\/p>\n

\n *    *<\/font><\/p>\n

\nFirst of all, you must find the Mother within. Later on,
\nwhen the external being comes under, full control, you will
\nconstantly feel her even there.<\/font><\/p>\n

\n* <\/font><\/p>\n

\n*     *<\/font><\/p>\n

\nThis you should always remember, that if you go forward
\nwith full trust in the Mother, then whatever may be the
\ncircumstances and the difficulties, however long a time may
\nbe necessary, you will most certainly reach your goal\u2014no<\/font><\/p>\n

\nobstacle, delay or adverse condition can mar the ultimate
\nsuccess.<\/font><\/p>\n

\nIn this sadhana just as you have to get rid of restlessness,
\nso also sorrow must be given no place. You must rely on the
\nMother and advance with a steady heart and a quiet and
\ncheerful mind. If you have full trust in the Mother, then
\nwhere is the place for sorrow? The Mother is not far away
\nbut constantly near you. You must maintain this faith and
\nknowledge.<\/font><\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n

\n*<\/p>\n

\n*   *<\/p>\n

\nIt is not right to assume from her outer appearance during
\nthe Pranam or Darshan that the Mother is pleased or
\ndispleased. People are constantly making this error that the
\nMother is displeased, the Mother is severe, the Mother does
\nnot want me, she is keeping me away from her, etc. and so
\nmany other false notions; then yielding to despair they create
\ntheir own difficulties on the way. Instead of doing all this,
\nmaintain an unshakable trust in the love and help of the
\nMother within you and go forward on the path of sadhana
\nwith a quiet and cheerful mind. Those who do that are safe.
\nWhen the difficulties come and the ego rises up, they are not
\ntouched; they say, "The Mother is there, whatever she does
\nis all right; though I may not see her for the time being, still
\nshe is with me, all around me; I have nothing to fear." This is
\nwhat you should do. One has to maintain this trust and
\ncontinue to do the sadhana.<\/font><\/p>\n

\nThe condition must be such that the consciousness within
\nremains united with the Mother, her force works in the being
\nand the external consciousness acts as an instrument of that
\nforce. But this condition does not come fully or easily.
\nSlowly, and by constant sadhana it becomes complete.<\/font><\/p>\n
