\t\t\tteachers and sadhaks of the Ashram in her "Wednesday Classes"<\/p>\n

\t\t\tof 1955. The classes generally began with a reading from one of<\/p>\n

\t\t\ther writings or her French translations of Sri Aurobindo’s works.<\/p>\n

\t\t\tShe then commented or answered questions on the texts or on<\/p>\n

\t\t\tother subjects. <\/font><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t <\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe talks of January 5 to May 11 are based upon <\/font>
\n\t\t\tBases of Yoga <\/font><\/i>
\n\t\t\tby Sri Aurobindo, the talk of
\n\t\t\tMay 18 upon "TheProblem of Woman", an essay by the Mother, the talks
\n\t\t\tof May 25 and June 1 upon "The Suprarational Beauty", Chapter 14 of<\/font>The
\n\t\t\tHuman Cycle <\/i><\/font>by Sri
\n\t\t\tAurobindo, the talks of September 14 to October 20 upon "The Great
\n\t\t\tSecret", a drama arranged and partly written by the Mother, and the
\n\t\t\ttalks of October 19 to December 28 upon "The Four Aids" and
\n\t\t\t"Self-Consecration", two chapters of <\/font>
\n\t\t\tThe Synthesis of Yoga <\/i><\/font>
\n\t\t\tby Sri Aurobindo.<\/font><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe talks, given in French, were tape-recorded at the time. Texts
\n\t\t\tand translations of portions of these talks were first published in
\n\t\t\tvarious issues of the quarterly <\/font>
\n\t\t\tBulletin of Sri Aurobindo International
\n\t\t\tCentre of Education; <\/font><\/i>
\n\t\t\tthe complete talks are
\n\t\t\tpublished here for the first time.<\/font><\/p>\n
