Purity is the best of
\npowers. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This is purity, to
\naccept no other influence but only the influence of the Divine. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

On earth, true purity is
\nto think as the Divine thinks, to will as the Divine wills, to feel as the Divine
\nfeels. <\/span><\/p>\n

If one lives only for
\nthe Divine and by the Divine, there follows a perfect purity. <\/span><\/p>\n

Purity is perfect

Mental purity: a mirror
\nwhich does not distort. <\/span><\/p>\n

Perfect mental purity: a
\nspotless mirror constantly turned towards the Divine. <\/span><\/p>\n

Integral mental purity:
\nsilent, attentive, receptive, concentrated on the Divine <\/span>―<\/span> this is the path to purity. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Vital purity: it begins
\nwith the abolition of desire. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Collective purity: a
\nvery precious achievement but one difficult to obtain. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Divine purity: it is
\nhappy just to be, in all simplicity. <\/span><\/p>\n

Humility: adorable in
\nits simplicity. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The greater beings are
\nalways the most simple and modest. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Correct self-evaluation: simple and
\nmodest, does not try to push itself forward. <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Modesty is satisfied
\nwith its own charm and does not draw attention to itself. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The more we advance on
\nthe Path, the more modest we become and the more we see that we have done
\nnothing in comparison to what remains to be done. <\/span><\/p>\n

We must learn that
\nwhatever our efforts, whatever our struggles, whatever even our victories,

\nnothing, we know nothing and we can do nothing; only the Supreme Divine knows,

True humility consists
\nin knowing that the Supreme Consciousness, the Supreme Will alone exists and
\nthat the I is not<\/i>. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

To be humble means for
\nthe mind, the vital and the body never to forget that without the Divine <\/i>they know nothing, are nothing and can do
\nnothing; without the Divine they are nothing but ignorance, chaos and
\nimpotence. The Divine alone is Truth, Life, Power, Love, Felicity.<\/span><\/p>\n

Therefore the mind, the
\nvital, and the body must learn and feel, once and for all, that they are wholly
\nincapable of understanding and judging the Divine, not only in his essence but
\nalso in his action and manifestation. <\/span><\/p>\n

This is the only true
\nhumility and with it come quiet and peace. <\/span><\/p>\n

This is also the surest
\nshield against all hostile attack. Indeed, in the human being it is always the
\ndoor of pride at which the Adversary knocks, for it is this door which opens to
\nlet him enter. <\/span><\/p>\n

Whatever is your
\npersonal value or even your individual <\/span><\/p>\n

realisation<\/span>, the first quality required in yoga is humility. <\/i><\/span><\/span> <\/p>\n
