The
\nsenses are liars − they do not convey to us the truth of things but only
\nan incomplete and even falsified appearance of things. <\/span><\/p>\n

It
\nis extremely ignorant to think that the eyes and ears never deceive us. Every
\npsychologist knows that they do; it is a fact known to all that one cannot rely
\non human evidence based on the eyes and ears and that human deductions founded
\non them can lead to gross errors. The same incident reported by ten different
\npersons elicits ten different versions. <\/span><\/p>\n

Accurate
\nperception: a perception which does not deform the Truth. <\/span><\/p>\n

Purified
\nsenses can be obtained only by a total surrender to the Truth. <\/span><\/p>\n

\nparts of my being, penetrating even the body \u2014 only I don\u2019t know how to do it.
\nYou are the very reason of my being; why then do I live now without feeling

The
\nphysical nature is obscure and recalcitrant everywhere; it is very difficult
\nfor it to become conscious of the divine Presence.<\/span><\/p>\n

\ntold a sadhak<\/span> that his hatred of someone was due to a
\nstrong attraction for the person. When asked to explain, she wrote:)<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

I was
\nreferring to some evidently subconscient movement − but you need not
\nworry about it nor fix your attention upon it − one day the understanding
\nwill come spontaneously. <\/span><\/p>\n

These
\nare the explanations, the excuses the mind always finds in such cases; but
\nthese mental explanations follow or at the most accompany the movements to be
\nexplained, they never precede them. <\/span><\/p>\n

What
\nstarts the movement is an obscure impulse, instinctive, almost mechanical and
\nunconscious in its origin, something that contradicts without knowing why. (It
\nis this unconsciousness which repels X although it is not a legitimation<\/span>
\nfor repulsion or shrinking − these being themselves movements of
\nunconsciousness.) <\/span><\/p>\n

If the
\nsubconscient were to accept the Consciousness, it would no longer be the
\nsubconscient, it would become consciousness. I think that you mean: has the
\nsubconscient submitted to the rule, to the law of the higher Consciousness?
\nThis is not done as a whole, for the subconscient is vast and complex; there is
\na mental subconscient, a vital subconscient, a physical subconscient, a bodily
\nsubconscient.   <\/span><\/p>\n

Can one learn to control one\u2019s
\nsubconscient as one controls one\u2019s conscious thought? <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

It is
\nespecially during the body\u2019s sleep that one is in contact with the
\nsubconscient. In becoming conscious of one\u2019s nights, control of the
\nsubconscient becomes much easier. <\/span><\/p>\n

The
\ncontrol can become total when the cells become conscious of the Divine in them
\nand when they open themselves voluntarily to His influence. This is what the
\nconsciousness that descended on the earth last year is working for. Little by
\nlittle the subconscient automatism of the body is being replaced by the
\nconsciousness of the Divine Presence governing the entire functioning of the
\nbody. <\/span><\/p>\n

The
\nDivine Will acting in the subconscient: the rare moments when the Divine
\nasserts Himself visibly. <\/span><\/p>\n

\naccidents: can one say that unconsciousness and disharmonious vibrations
\nattract accidents and that the mistake is never one-sided? This is why it would
\nbe better, after an accident, to stop driving for a time, until one has made
