\nDEVOTION<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

Devotion: modest and
\nfragrant, it gives itself without seeking for anything in return. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

Devotional attitude:
\nmoderate and self-effacing, it gives remarkable fruit. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

A devotion that keeps
\nconcentrated and silent in the depths of the heart but manifests in acts of
\nservice and obedience, is more powerful, more true, more divine, than any
\nshouting and weeping devotion. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

Sincere devotion is much
\nmore effective than the Ganges water. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n


\nWORSHIP<\/a><\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/p>\n

Worship: the form or
\nouter expression of your devotion. <\/span><\/p>\n

True worship: total and

\nOFFERING<\/a><\/span><\/b> <\/p>\n

Life must blossom like a
\nflower offering itself to the Divine. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The only offering that
\ntruly enriches is the one made to the Divine. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Offering: the placing of
\nyour entire being, with all its movements true and false, good and bad, right
\nand wrong, before the Divine for transformation. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Offer sincerely to the
\nDivine your obscurities and you will be able to receive the light. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The offering of our
\nbeing we make to the Divine must be integral and effective. <\/span><\/p>\n

\nCONSECRATION<\/a><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Consecration is the
\nconsummation, when the Light has illuminated all the parts of your being, with
\na central will acting on the feelings, impulses, thoughts, emotions,
\nactivities, directing them always towards the Divine and when you move no more
\nfrom darkness to light or from falsehood to truth or from misery to happiness
\nbut from light to more light, from truth to greater truth, from happiness to
\nincreasing happiness. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It is in a sincere
\nconsecration to the Divine that we can find relief from our too human
\nsufferings. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The quiet mind one gets
\nthrough meditation is indeed of short duration, for as soon as you come out from
\nmeditation you come out at the same time from the quietness of mind. The true
\nlasting quietness in the vital and the physical as well as in the mind comes
\nfrom a complete consecration to the Divine; for when you can no more call
\nanything, not even yourself, yours, when everything, including your body,
\nsensations, feelings and thoughts, belongs to the Divine, the Divine takes the
\nentire responsibility of all and you have nothing more to worry about. <\/span><\/p>\n

A sincere consecration
\nof all you are and all you do is for the sadhana much more effective than
\nmeditation. <\/span><\/p>\n

\nSELF-GIVING<\/a><\/span><\/b> <\/p>\n

Self-giving is true
\nprayer. <\/span> <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Self-giving: by this the
\nwhole being gets progressively unified round the central psychic being. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Give yourself up <\/span>―<\/span> it is the best way of finding yourself. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Give yourself, all that
\nyou are and what you do, to the Divine, and you will have peace. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Give yourself entirely
\nto the Divine and you will see the end of all your troubles. <\/span><\/p>\n

It is a sincere
\nself-giving that saves one from all difficulties and dangers. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Never say, \u201cI have
\nnothing to give to the Divine.\u201d There is always something to give, for always
\nyou can give yourself in a better and more complete way. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

To the Divine you are
\nworth no more than what you have given Him. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

To give to the Divine
\nwhat one has in excess is not an offering. <\/span><\/p>\n

One should give at least
\nsomething out of what one needs. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If you remember what you
\nhave given to the Divine, He will have no need of remembering it Himself; and
\nif you ever mention the gift or speak of it to anybody, it is not to the Divine
\nthat you have made the offering but to the demon of your vanity. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Entire self-giving: fully
\nopen, clear and pure. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Do not confuse the
\npsychic realisation with the spiritual <\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n

because the psychic realisation will leave you within time and space, within the manifested
\nuniverse. <\/p>\n

Whereas the effect of
\nthe spiritual realisation will be to project you outside all creation, outside
\ntime and space. <\/span><\/p>\n

There is no joy more
\nperfect than to give oneself totally to that which is greater than oneself.
\nGod, Supreme Origin, Divine Presence, Absolute Truth <\/span>―<\/span> it doesn’t matter what name we give Him or what aspect we most
\neasily approach Him through <\/span>―<\/span> to forget oneself totally in an integral consecration is the
\nsurest path towards Realisation. <\/span><\/p>\n

How beautiful, grand,
\nsimple and calm everything becomes when our thoughts turn to the Divine and we
\ngive ourselves to the Divine! <\/span><\/p>\n

We must know how to give
\nour life and also our death, our happiness and also our suffering. <\/span><\/p>\n

Three typical modes of
\ntotal self-giving to the Divine: <\/span><\/p>\n

(1) To prostrate oneself
\nat His feet, giving up all pride in perfect humility. <\/span><\/p>\n

(2) To unfold one’s
\nbeing before Him, open one’s whole body from head to foot, as one opens a book,
\nexposing one’s centres<\/span> so as to make all their
\nmovements visible in a complete sincerity that allows nothing to remain hidden.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

(3) To nestle in His
\narms, to merge in Him in a loving and absolute trust. <\/span><\/p>\n

These movements may be
\naccompanied by three formulas or any one of them according to the case:<\/span><\/p>\n

(1) Let Thy Will be done
\nand not mine. <\/span><\/p>\n

(2) As Thou willest<\/span>, as Thou willest<\/span>. <\/span><\/p>\n

(3) I am Thine<\/span> for eternity. <\/span><\/p>\n

Generally, when these
\nmovements are done in the true way, they are followed by a perfect
\nidentification, a dissolution of the ego, giving rise to a sublime felicity. <\/span><\/p>\n

Three Steps towards the
\nSupreme Identification. <\/span><\/p>\n

Give all you have, this
\nis the beginning. <\/span><\/p>\n

Give all you do, this is
\nthe way. <\/span><\/p>\n

Give all you are, this
\nis the fulfilment<\/span>. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I have read and heard that one should \u201cgive oneself\u201d to the
\nDivine. I don’t understand how one should \u201cgive oneself\u201d.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

With your thought, give your thoughts. <\/p>\n

With your heart, give
\nyour feelings. <\/span><\/p>\n

With your body, give
\nyour work. <\/span><\/p>\n

Above all words, above
\nall thoughts in the luminous silence of an aspiring faith give yourself
\ntotally, unreservedly, absolutely to the Supreme Lord of all existences and He
\nwill do of you what He wants you to be. <\/span><\/p>\n
