There is some sense that that\u00b9 would be a wonderful solution.<br \/>\nWhen you said it, something became concrete all of a sudden. But there was no personal<br \/>\nsense within&#8230; the body has none at all, at all, no ambition or desire<br \/>\nwhatsoever or even aspiration to become that, but there was only a kind of<br \/>\ndelight in the possibility of \u201cthat&#8221; being done; if it were done, it matters<br \/>\nnot who or where or how: only let that be done. And I looked at it with very,<br \/>\nvery close attention; not for a moment was there the idea: \u201cIt must be this&#8221; (<i>Mother pinches her skin with her fingers<\/i>),<br \/>\nyou understand? It was: \u201cLet there <i>be<\/i><br \/>\nthis incarnation, this manifestation&#8221; \u2013 not to choose one person or another,<br \/>\none place or another, no, nothing of that kind existed: it was the thing in<br \/>\nitself which was like a wonderful solution. So our<br \/>\nattention is drawn this way and that, and still other things are there. And all our insignificant visions and <span class=\"SpellE\">knowings<\/span> and judgments and&#8230; all that is mere nothing, it<br \/>\nis microscopic in comparison with the Consciousness presiding over All.<br \/>\nTherefore, if one had the least sense of the reason why separate<br \/>\nindividualities existed, one would see that it was only for allowing<br \/>\naspiration, the existence of aspiration, of this movement of self-giving and<br \/>\nsurrender, trust and <i>faith<\/i>. And it is<br \/>\nthis that is the very reason why individuals were built up; and then, for you<br \/>\nto become that in all sincerity and intensity&#8230; it is all that is needed. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style='text-align:justify;text-indent:.25in;line-height:150%;margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0'><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>It is all that is needed, it is the <i>only <\/i>thing, the only thing that stays; all the rest&#8230; phantasmagoria.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style='text-align:justify;text-indent:.25in;line-height:150%;margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0'><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>And it is the only thing valid in every case: when you want to do<br \/>\na thing, when you cannot do a thing, when you move, when the body is no more<br \/>\nable to move&#8230; in <i>every,<\/i> every case,<br \/>\nthat only, only that: to come in conscious contact with the Supreme<br \/>\nConsciousness, to be united with it; and&#8230; to wait. There ! <\/span><\/p>\n<p style='text-align:justify;text-indent:.25in;line-height:150%;margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0'><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>It is then that you receive the exact indication of what you ought<br \/>\nto do at each minute \u2013<span>\u00a0 <\/span>to do or not to<br \/>\ndo, to act or to be stone still. That is all. And even to be or not to be. That<br \/>\nis the only solution. More and more, more and more, the certitude is there:<br \/>\nthis is the only solution. All the rest is mere childishness. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style='text-align:justify;text-indent:.25in;line-height:150%;margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0'><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>And all activities, all possibilities can be made use of in a<br \/>\nnatural way \u2013 it eliminates all arbitrary personal choice. All possibilities<br \/>\nare there, all, all, all are there. All perceptions are there and all knowledge<br \/>\n\u2013 only the personal arbitrariness has been eliminated. The brain is<br \/>\naltogether, altogether too small, is it not? In some way, at some moments it is in the<br \/>\nconsciousness of immortality, and then, through influence (and still, from time<br \/>\nto time, through old habit) it falls back into the consciousness of mortality,<br \/>\nand that is truly&#8230; for it now to fall back into the consciousness of<br \/>\nmortality is an awful anguish; and it is only when it comes out of it, when it<br \/>\nreturns to the true consciousness, that the thing vanishes.
