 <\/span>Our Flag and Our Cover <\/span><\/font><\/i><\/b> <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

\nT<\/font><\/span>he flag that is shown on the cover of our Bulletin<\/span> represents the symbol of a
\nfull-blown golden lotus with two rows of petals, four inside and twelve
\noutside, at the exact centre of a silver-blue square. <\/span><\/p>\n

This blue is the blue of the spirit and the gold is the colour of
\nthe Supreme Mother. The red of the cover surrounding the flag signifies the
\nillumined physical consciousness. <\/span><\/p>\n

This flag was originally chosen as the flag of the J.S.A.S.A.;1<\/sup>
\nbut later, when we celebrated <\/span>India<\/span>‘s Independence Day (<\/span>15 August 1947<\/span>), we found that it also expressed the spiritual mission of the
\nwhole of <\/span>India<\/span>. So for us it is the symbolic flag of a resurgent, united and
\nvictorious India rising above the torpor of the centuries, having cast off the
\nshackles of enslavement and undergone all the pangs of a new birth to emerge
\nonce more as a great and united nation and lead the world and humanity towards
\nthe highest ideal of the spirit. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>We therefore consider
\nourselves very fortunate to have a flag with such a symbol and we cherish it
\ndeeply. <\/span><\/p>\n
