327 \u2013 India had three fortresses of a communal life, the village
\ncommunity, the larger joint family and the orders of the Sannyasins<\/span>;
\nall these are broken or breaking with the stride of egoistic conceptions of
\nsocial life; but is not this after all only the breaking of these imperfect
\nmoulds on the way to a larger and diviner communism? <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

\npreceding despotisms. Only when egoism dies and God in man governs his own

\nchange of consciousness, first among the most receptive, and then in a greater
