If there is a sincerity in the aspiration and a patient will to arrive at<br \/>\nthe higher consciousness in spite of all obstacles, then the opening in one<br \/>\nform or another is sure to come.\u201d <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;text-indent:.25in;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;line-height:150%'><i><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>\u201cThe opening in one form or another is sure to come\u201d&#8230; Are there many<br \/>\nkinds of openings? <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;text-indent:.25in;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>Oh, yes! First of all there are many<br \/>\ndifferent parts of the being and each one can open in its own way, you see; the<br \/>\nmental opening and the vital opening are very different in nature and the<br \/>\nphysical opening is still more different. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;text-indent:.25in;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;text-indent:.5in;line-height:150%'><i><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>What is the physical opening? <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;text-indent:.25in;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>That&#8217;s when the physical body opens to the<br \/>\ndivine influence and receives the divine forces. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;text-indent:.25in;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>For example, you see, there&#8217;s a moment<br \/>\nwhen the divine forces come and penetrate all the cells. To begin with, it is<br \/>\nthe physical consciousness, the body consciousness which opens first to the<br \/>\ninfluence of the Divine and understands and wants nothing else but <i>this<\/i>, the divine Presence, the divine<br \/>\ninfluence. There are also the body&#8217;s feelings, and the very cells of the body,<br \/>\nwhich can open to receive the force. For instance, when at a certain moment one<br \/>\nfeels a kind of very intense vibrations spreading through the whole body and at<br \/>\nthat time one feels filled with a strength, an unusual force, a consciousness<br \/>\nalso, and all things<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style='margin:0;text-align:center;line-height:150%'>\n<span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'><font size=\"3\">Page &#8211; 388<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"WW-PlainText\" align=\"center\" style='text-align:center'><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><\/p>\n<hr size=\"2\" width=\"100%\" align=\"center\">\n<p><\/span><\/div>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>become clear and perceptible, then that&#8217;s<br \/>\nan opening of the body; it is when the body knows, you see, and has succeeded<br \/>\nin opening to the influence. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;text-indent:.25in;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;text-indent:.5in;line-height:150%'><i><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>Mother, why is it better to concentrate in the heart?\u00b9<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;text-indent:.25in;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>He says here that it is easier. For some<br \/>\npeople it is more difficult, it depends on one&#8217;s nature. But it is better<br \/>\nbecause if you concentrate there, deeply enough, it is there that you enter<br \/>\ninto contact with the psychic for the first time; while if you concentrate in<br \/>\nthe head you have to pass later from the head to the heart to be able to<br \/>\nidentify yourself with the psychic being. And if you concentrate by gathering<br \/>\nthe energies, it is better to gather them here, because it is in this centre,<br \/>\nin this region of the being that you find the will to progress, the force of<br \/>\npurification, and the most intense and effective aspiration. The aspiration<br \/>\nthat comes from the heart is much more effective than that from the head. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;text-indent:.25in;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;line-height:150%'><i><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>\u201cWill and aspiration are needed to bring down the aid of the Divine<br \/>\nForce and to keep the being on its side in its dealings with the lower powers.\u201d<br \/>\nWhat is the meaning of \u201ckeep the being on its side\u201d? <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;text-indent:.25in;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>\u201cTo keep on its side\u201d \u2013 it is, for<br \/>\ninstance&#8230;<span>\u00a0 <\/span>you see, there is on one<br \/>\nside \u2013 how shall I put it? \u2013 let us take the army, the army of the divine<br \/>\nforces, on the other side the army of the forces of ordinary nature; so whether<br \/>\nto keep on the side of this army or of that, that&#8217;s what it means. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;text-indent:.25in;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>You do not understand? That is to say, to<br \/>\ngo to this side, join this or that side. If I keep on the side of the divine<br \/>\nforces <\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;text-indent:.25in;line-height:150%'>\n<span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'><font size=\"2\">\u00b9 <\/font> <\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'><font size=\"2\">\u201cThere is no other method in this Yoga<br \/>\nexcept to concentrate, preferably in the heart, and call the presence and power<br \/>\nof the Mother to take up the being and by the workings of her force transform<br \/>\nthe consciousness; one can concentrate also in the head or between the<br \/>\neyebrows, but for many this is a too difficult opening.\u201d<\/font><\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'><font size=\"2\">&nbsp;<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style='margin:0;text-align:center;line-height:150%'>\n<span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'><font size=\"3\">Page &#8211; 389<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"WW-PlainText\" align=\"center\" style='text-align:center'><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><\/p>\n<hr size=\"2\" width=\"100%\" align=\"center\">\n<p><\/span><\/div>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>I join those who are fighting for the<br \/>\ndivine forces like an army. If I put myself on the side of the ordinary vital<br \/>\nforces of life, I go over to that side and forsake the others, I go over to<br \/>\nthat side. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;text-indent:.25in;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;text-indent:.5in;line-height:150%'><i><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>Sweet Mother, what does the \u201cknot of the ego\u201d means? <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;text-indent:.25in;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>Knot? Oh! It is an image, you see. But it<br \/>\nis something that clings to you and holds you as tightly as a well-made rope<br \/>\nknot. And so it is always said that in order to progress truly the first thing<br \/>\nto do is to cut the knot of the ego. It is very expressive and makes a good<br \/>\nimage, doesn&#8217;t it? \u2013 one is tied up, one is shut up in oneself, bound as in a<br \/>\nprison by knots which tie up all the parts of the being together; it is this<br \/>\nwhich produces a cohesion. But at the same time it is a limitation, a limiting.<br \/>\nYou cannot receive all the forces you would like to, because you are enclosed<br \/>\nin this shell made of a heap of knots in the rope that&#8217;s tying you. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;text-indent:.25in;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;text-indent:.5in;line-height:150%'><i><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>Sweet Mother, how can we cut the knot of the ego? <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;text-indent:.25in;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>How to cut it? Take a sword and strike it<br \/>\n(laughter), when one becomes conscious of it. For usually one is not; we think<br \/>\nit quite normal, what happen to us; and in fact it is very normal but we think<br \/>\nit quite good also. So to begin with one must have a great clear-sightedness to<br \/>\nbecome aware that one is enclosed in all these knots which hold one in bondage.<br \/>\nAnd then, when one is aware that there&#8217;s something altogether tightly closed in<br \/>\nthere \u2013 so tightly that one has tried in vain to move it \u2013 then one imagines<br \/>\nhis will to be a very sharp sword-blade, and with all one&#8217;s force one strikes a<br \/>\nblow on this knot (imaginary, of course, one doesn&#8217;t take up a sword in fact),<br \/>\nand this produces a result. Of course you can do this work from the<br \/>\npsychological point of view, discovering all the elements constituting this knot,<br \/>\nthe whole set of resistances, habits, prefer-&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style='margin:0;text-align:center;line-height:150%'>\n<span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'><font size=\"3\">Page &#8211; 390<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"WW-PlainText\" align=\"center\" style='text-align:center'><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><\/p>\n<hr size=\"2\" width=\"100%\" align=\"center\">\n<p><\/span><\/div>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>ences, of all that holds you narrowly<br \/>\nclosed in. So when you grow aware of this, you can concentrate and call the<br \/>\ndivine Force and the Grace and strike a good blow on this formation, these things<br \/>\nso closely held, like that, that nothing can separate them. And at that moment<br \/>\nyou must resolve that you will no longer listen to these things, that you will<br \/>\nlisten only to the divine Consciousness and will do no other work except the<br \/>\ndivine work without worrying about personal results, free from all attachment,<br \/>\nfree from all preference, free from all wish for success, power, satisfaction,<br \/>\nvanity, all this&#8230;<span>\u00a0 <\/span>All this must<br \/>\ndisappear and you must see only the divine Will incarnated in your will and<br \/>\nmaking you act. Then, in this way, you are cured. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;text-indent:.25in;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;text-indent:.5in;line-height:150%'><i><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>Mother, how can one strengthen one&#8217;s will? <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;text-indent:.25in;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>Oh, as one strengthen muscles, by a<br \/>\nmethodical exercise. You take one little thing, something you want to do or<br \/>\ndon&#8217;t want to do. Begin with a small thing, not something very essential to the<br \/>\nbeing, but a small detail. And then, if, for instance, it is something you are<br \/>\nin the habit of doing, you insist on it with the same regularity, you see,<br \/>\neither not to do it or to do it \u2013 you insist on it and compel yourself to do it<br \/>\nas you compel yourself to lift a weight \u2013 it&#8217;s the same thing. You make the<br \/>\nsame kind of effort, but it is more of an inner effort. And after having taken<br \/>\nlittle things like this \u2013 things relatively easy, you know \u2013 after taking these<br \/>\nand succeeding with them, you can unite with a greater force and try a more<br \/>\ncomplicated experiment. And gradually, if you do this regularly, you will end<br \/>\nup by acquiring an independent and very strong will. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;text-indent:.25in;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;text-indent:.5in;line-height:150%'><i><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>Sweet Mother, are there different aspiration, like mental or vital<br \/>\naspiration? <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;text-indent:.25in;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>Yes, each part of the being has its own<br \/>\naspiration which has the nature of the aspiring part. There is even a physical<br \/>\naspiration;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\" style='margin:0;text-align:center;line-height:150%'>\n<span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'><font size=\"3\">Page &#8211; 391<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"WW-PlainText\" align=\"center\" style='text-align:center'><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><\/p>\n<hr size=\"2\" width=\"100%\" align=\"center\">\n<p><\/span><\/div>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>the body can&#8230; The cells of the body understand<br \/>\nwhat the transformations will be, and with all their strength, all the<br \/>\nconsciousness they contain, they aspire for this transformation. The very cells<br \/>\nof the body \u2013 not the central will, thought or emotion the cells of the body<br \/>\nopen in this way to receive the Force. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;text-indent:.25in;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;text-indent:.5in;line-height:150%'><i><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>Is the psychic being in the heart? <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;text-indent:.25in;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>Not in the physical heart, not in the<br \/>\norgan. It is in a fourth dimension, an inner dimension. But it is in that<br \/>\nregion, the region somewhat behind the solar plexus, it is there that one finds<br \/>\nit most easily. The psychic being is in the fourth dimension as related to our<br \/>\nphysical being. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;text-indent:.25in;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;text-indent:.5in;line-height:150%'><i><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>What does \u201ca negative Nirvana\u201d mean? <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;text-indent:.25in;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>Negative Nirvana? It is not in today&#8217;s<br \/>\nlesson. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style='margin:0;text-align:justify;text-indent:.25in;line-height:150%'><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'>Negative Nirvana means quite simply a<br \/>\nNirvana which contains nothing positive.
