Most often we at least know whether the work was<br \/>\ndone in France, Algeria, Japan or India. The range of dates may be narrowed down<br \/>\nfurther on the basis of our knowledge of the Mother&#8217;s main<\/span><\/font><span style=\"font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Times New Roman\"> <\/span><font face=\"Times New Roman\"><span style=\"font-size:11.0pt\">periods of artistic activity, combined sometimes<br \/>\nwith considerations of stylistic development or clues provided by the subject<br \/>\nmatter.<\/span><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align:justify;margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0\"><span style=\"font-size:11.0pt\"><br \/>\n<font color=\"#800000\" face=\"Times New Roman\">In<br \/>\nsome cases, the original is not available to us and the reproduction has had to<br \/>\nbe made from an earlier print or negative or from a print or transparency<br \/>\nsupplied by the owner. The reproduction in this was<br \/>\ndone after restoration, but is not true to the colours of the original.
