Moreover, a colour<br \/>\nmay have several meanings, since there is<br \/>\nmore than one order of things that colours<br \/>\nindicate. &quot;There is an order of significances&quot;,<br \/>\nSri Aurobindo observed, &quot;in which they indicate<br \/>\nvarious psychological dynamisms, e.g., faith,<br \/>\nlove, protection, etc. There is another order of<br \/>\nsignificances in which they indicate the aura or<br \/>\nthe activity of divine beings, Krishna, Mahakali,<br \/>\nRadha or else of other superhuman beings.&quot; And<br \/>\nthere are other orders as well. In the Mother&#8217;s<br \/>\nflower-names, the colours usually indicate a plane<br \/>\nof consciousness or part of the being, or, more<br \/>\naccurately, the main forces corresponding to a<br \/>\nplane of consciousness or part of the being. The<br \/>\ncolour red, for example, often indicates the forces<br \/>\nof the physical plane of consciousness or physical<br \/>\npart of the being; accordingly, the significance of<br \/>\nthe red zinnia is Physical endurance.<br \/>\n<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\" align=\"justify\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">Of the relationship between colour and light,<br \/>\nSri Aurobindo commented: &quot;Colour and light<br \/>\nare always close to each other &#8211; colour being<br \/>\nmore indicative, light more dynamic. Colour<br \/>\nincandescent becomes light.&quot;<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0;text-indent:-50pt;margin-left:50pt\" align=\"justify\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\"><b>W<\/b>HITE. The Divine Consciousness; the Mothers<br \/>\nlight; purity; integrality.<br \/>\nWhite is the divine power of purity. White<br \/>\nlight is the Mother&#8217;s light, the light of the<br \/>\nDivine Consciousness in its essence. In this<br \/>\nwhite light all other lights are contained and<br \/>\nfrom it they can be manifested; for this reason<br \/>\nwhite also indicates integrality, completeness,<br \/>\ntotality \u2014 especially the integrality of the being<br \/>\nin all its parts, from the physical being to the<br \/>\ntrue self. The adjective &quot;integral&quot; appears in<br \/>\nthe significances of many white flowers; the<br \/>\nwhite zinnia, for example, is named Integral<br \/>\nendurance and signifies endurance in all the<br \/>\nparts of the being.<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0;text-indent:-50pt;margin-left:50pt\" align=\"justify\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\"><b>G<\/b>OLD<b>.<\/b> The divine Truth; the supramental Truth-<br \/>\nConsciousness; the Supramental or Supermind.<br \/>\nGold indicates the divine Truth. Golden light<br \/>\nis the light of the divine Truth on the higher<br \/>\nplanes above the ordinary mind \u2014 a light<br \/>\nsupramental in origin. The golden sun is the<br \/>\nsymbol of the Divine Light and Truth and of<br \/>\nthe Supermind.<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0;text-indent:-50pt;margin-left:50pt\" align=\"justify\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\"><b>G<\/b>OLDEN YELLOW. The light of the Truth in the<br \/>\nmind.<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0;text-indent:-50pt;margin-left:50pt\" align=\"justify\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\"><b>Y<\/b>ELLOW. The mind; the thinking mind.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Times New Roman\">Yellow is the characteristic colour of mind,<br \/>\nespecially the thinking mind, the intellect.<b><br \/>\n<\/b>Its<b><br \/>\n<\/b>shades indicate different intensities of mental<br \/>\nlight. Yellow is the light of mind growing<br \/>\nbrighter as one goes higher till it meets the<br \/>\ngolden light of the Divine Truth.<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0;text-indent:-50pt;margin-left:50pt\" align=\"justify\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">PALE BLUE. Higher ranges of mind.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Times New Roman\">Pale blue is the colour of the higher ranges<br \/>\nof mind up to the Intuition; above it, it begins<br \/>\nto become golden with the supramental light.<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0;text-indent:-50pt;margin-left:50pt\" align=\"justify\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\"><b>P<\/b>ALE WHITISH BLUE. Sri Aurobindo&#8217;s light; Sri<br \/>\nKrishna&#8217;s light.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Times New Roman\">A whitish blue like moonlight is known as Sri<br \/>\nAurobindo&#8217;s light or Sri Krishna&#8217;s light. There<\/font><br \/>\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\">are different Krishna lights, depending on<br \/>\nthe plane in which the light manifests.<br \/>\nPale diamond blue is Krishna&#8217;s light in the<br \/>\novermind, lavender blue in the intuitive<br \/>\nmind, a deeper blue in the mind, and so on.<br \/>\nBlue is also Radha&#8217;s colour.<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\" align=\"center\">\n<font size=\"2\" color=\"#0000FF\">Page-365<\/font><\/p>\n<hr align=\"justify\">\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0;text-indent:-50pt;margin-left:50pt\" align=\"justify\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\"><b>L<\/b>AVENDER BLUE. Devotion.<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0;text-indent:-50pt;margin-left:50pt\" align=\"justify\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\"><b>D<\/b>EEP BLUE. The physical mind; mental power<br \/>\nin the physical.<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0;text-indent:-50pt;margin-left:50pt\" align=\"justify\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\"><b>P<\/b>INK. The psychic.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Times New Roman\">Pink or pale rose is the characteristic colour<br \/>\nof the psychic. Pink, especially pink mixed<br \/>\nwith lavender, mauve or pale purple, can<br \/>\nalso indicate the emotional vital.<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0;text-indent:-50pt;margin-left:50pt\" align=\"justify\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\"><b>R<\/b>OSE<b>.<\/b> Psychic love.<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0;text-indent:-50pt;margin-left:50pt\" align=\"justify\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\"><b>G<\/b>REEN<b>.<\/b> Vital strength; energy, generosity, self-<br \/>\ngiving; the emotional life-force; the<b><br \/>\n<\/b>emotional<b><br \/>\n<\/b>vital; the emotions.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Times New Roman\">A vital energy of work and action, green<br \/>\nis very usually associated with Life and a<br \/>\ngenerous emanation or action of forces &#8211;<br \/>\noften of the emotional life-force. Green light<br \/>\ncan signify various things according to the<br \/>\ncontext \u2014 in the emotional vital it is the<br \/>\ncolour of a certain form of emotional<br \/>\ngenerosity, in the vital proper an activity with<br \/>\nvital abundance or vital generosity behind it;<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Times New Roman\">in the vital physical it signifies a force of<br \/>\nhealth. Green is the colour of the emotional<br \/>\nvital and of the emotions.<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0;text-indent:-50pt;margin-left:50pt\" align=\"justify\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\"><b>L<\/b>AVENDER. The vital, especially the higher vital<br \/>\nor emotional vital.<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0;text-indent:-50pt;margin-left:50pt\" align=\"justify\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\"><b>M<\/b>AUVE. The vital.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Times New Roman\">Mauve is a colour of the vital, light mauve<br \/>\ntending to indicate the higher vital or<br \/>\nemotional vital, deep mauve the vital proper.<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0;text-indent:-50pt;margin-left:50pt\" align=\"justify\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\"><b>V<\/b>IOLET. The vital; vital power; protection; Divine Compassion; Divine Grace.<br \/>\nViolet is a colour of the vital plane, dark<br \/>\nviolet indicating vital power. Violet is also<br \/>\n* the colour of protection and of benevolence<br \/>\nor compassion, but more vividly of the Divine<br \/>\nGrace; it is the light of the Divine Grace and<br \/>\nCompassion.<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0;text-indent:-50pt;margin-left:50pt\" align=\"justify\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\"><b>P<\/b>URPLE. The vital; the vital force; vital power.<br \/>\nPurple is a characteristic colour of the vital.<br \/>\nIt is the colour of the vital life-force and of<br \/>\nvital power. Dark purple may indicate the<br \/>\nlower vital.<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0;text-indent:-50pt;margin-left:50pt\" align=\"justify\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\"><b>P<\/b>URPLE RED. The vital consciousness; the vital<br \/>\nlife-force.<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0;text-indent:-50pt;margin-left:50pt\" align=\"justify\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\"><b>R<\/b>ED. The physical; the material world.<br \/>\nRed is the colour of the physical and of<br \/>\nthe material world. Love manifested in the physical.<br \/>\nCrimson light indicates the manifestation<br \/>\nof love in the material atmosphere or in the<br \/>\nvital and physical together.<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0;text-indent:-50pt;margin-left:50pt\" align=\"justify\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\"><b>O<\/b>RANGE<b>.<\/b> The Supramental in the physical; the<br \/>\nsupramental physical light; occult knowledge.<br \/>\nOrange or red-gold or golden red is the light<br \/>\nof the Supramental in the physical, the light<br \/>\nof Divine Truth in the physical. Orange is<br \/>\nalso the colour of occult knowledge<b><br \/>\n<\/b>or<b><br \/>\n<\/b>occult<b><br \/>\n<\/b>experience.<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0;text-indent:-50pt;margin-left:50pt\" align=\"justify\">\n<font face=\"Times New Roman\"><b>B<\/b>LACK.
