(At the end of a long and distressing conversation that

 the grudges of a particular individual
\nagainst her neighbor,<\/i>

 then angry remarks, then
\nfinally a request for "blessings" for a<\/i>

 new trucking
\ncompany, with a photo of the truck on the back<\/i>

 of
\nwhich Mother is asked to write something, one of the<\/i>

 teachers
\nannounces that an epidemic of chickenpox and<\/i>

 mumps
\nhas broken out at the school among the students and<\/i>

 teachers,
\nand that one of them has typhoid fever. Mother <\/i>
\n

listens to all that…. This will be the last meeting with
\nthe teachers.)<\/i>
\n

If you haven’t, it’s really a crime (there is almost anguish in Mother’s voice), <\/i>because…. There’s nothing to explain. It’s a crime. I am not AT ALL protected.
