I had a practical question to ask you…. A thought occurred to<\/i><\/p>\n
me, and Id like to know how you consider it. Two or three <\/i>\n <\/p>\n
years ago, I sent my book, "The Sannyasin," to Europe; I asked<\/i><\/p>\n
P.L. to try to find a publisher for it in Europe. Now it’s in the<\/i><\/p>\n
hands of "Auropress." When I sent it to Europe, P.L. asked me,<\/i><\/p>\n
"What terms do you have in mind for the book?" I wrote him<\/i><\/p>\n
what came to me at the time: "This book belongs to India, I owe it to India,<\/i><\/p>\n
Page 286<\/font><\/p>\n <\/p>\n and if it generates any profit, that money<\/i><\/p>\n belongs to India." But in Europe they didn’t want it, and now<\/i><\/p>\n it’s in the hands of Auropress. So the financial question arose<\/i><\/p>\n again: where will the profits go? Naturally my immediate reac<\/i><\/p>\n tion was: "All the money must go to Mother, it belongs to<\/i><\/p>\n Mother." Then, my old thought about India came back: "This<\/i><\/p>\n book must go to India, the profits belong to India." So, Id like<\/i><\/p>\n to know if this idea has any sound basis, or should I just leave<\/i><\/p>\n it the way we normally do, that is, all the money from the book<\/i><\/p>\n will be given to you?<\/i><\/p>\n<\/p>\n (silence)<\/i><\/p>\n Naturally, I make no distinction between you and India….<\/i><\/p>\n Yes, yes! That’s what I thought (laughter).<\/i><\/p>\n Evidently. Also, I am sure you will use the money much better<\/i><\/p>\n than Oh, indeed!<\/p>\n Without any doubt.
