\nTHE EIGHTH HYMN TO AGNI<\/b><\/font><\/p>\n

\nDIVINE WILL, THE UNIVERSAL FULFILLER<\/b><\/font>
\n<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n

\n[The Rishi having declared the continuity of the great effort
\nand aspiration from the earliest times hymns divine Will harboured in us, inmate, priest of the sacrifice, master of this dwelling, who fulfils the universal impulse in all its multiplicity and
\nboth stimulates and leads it in act and knowledge.]<\/font><\/p>\n

  1. \n

    \n\tWill, who art by force created in us, thee the pristine Power
    \nthe pristine seekers of the Truth kindled entirely that they might grow in their
    \n\tbeing, the god in the sacrifice, who because he has the multitude of his delights establishes the all,<\/font>\u00b9<\/font>
    \ndomiciled in us, master of the dwelling, inmate supremely
    \ndesirable.<\/font> <\/li>\n

  2. \n

    \n\tWill, in thee the supreme<\/font>\u00b2<\/font> guest and master of the house
    \nwith his locks of light the peoples take their foundation
    \nbecause thou hast with thee vast vision and the multitude of
    \nthy forms and the extraction of our riches and the perfect
    \npeace and perfect being and the destruction of enemies.<\/font>\u00b3<\/font>\n\t<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    \n\tWill, thee the human peoples seek with their adoration who
    \nhast knowledge of the powers of the sacrifice<\/font>4<\/font><\/sup> and rightly
    \ndiscriminating boldest for us utterly the delight and thou
    \nart seated in our secret being, O perfect enjoyer, seeing with
    \na universal vision, pouring the multitude of thy voices, doing
    \naright the sacrifice, agleam with the glory of the clarity.<\/font> <\/li>\n

  4. \n

    \n\tWill, who sustainest the law of things in their universality,
    \nthee we approach with obeisance of submission and express
    \nthee by the words; so do thou, O puissant seer, approve and<\/font> <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \n\u00b9<\/font>Or, "fosters all".<\/font><\/p>\n

    \n\u00b2<\/font>"First", both original and supreme:<\/font><\/p>\n

    \n\u00b3<\/font> The hostile powers who try to break up the unity and completeness of our being and
    \nfrom whom the riches which rightly belong to us have to be rescued, not human enemies.<\/font><\/p>\n

    \n4<\/sup> Or, "the process of the oblation".<\/font><\/p>\n

    \ncleave to us, a godhead set high-blazing by the victory<\/font>\u00b9<\/font>of
    \nthe mortal, by his right illuminings.<\/font><\/p>\n

      \n\tWill multiply affirmed, thou takest many forms according
      \nto the man and establishest for each his wide manifestation
      \neven as of old; thou illuminest in thy force the many
      \nthings that are thy food and none can do violence to that
      \nblaze of thy light when so thou blazest up.<\/font> <\/li>\n

    2. \n

      \n\tWill, youngest vigour, thee the gods have kindled high and
      \nmade their envoy to man and the bearer of his offerings;<\/font>
      \n\twide in thy rapidities, born from the clarity, receiver of the
      \noblation, thee they have set in him as a keen and burning
      \neye that urges his mentality.<\/font> <\/li>\n

    3. \n

      \n\tWill, thee men who seek the bliss kindle high with an entire
      \nkindling, fed by their clarities in the front of heaven;<\/font>\u00b2<\/font> so
      \nincreasing, diffused by its growths that hold its heats, thou
      \nenterest widely into all the earth-life’s speeding movements.<\/font> <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      \n\u00b9<\/font>"Attainment", or, "the splendour" or, "glory". <\/font><\/p>\n

      \n\u00b2<\/font>Heaven and earth, the pure mental being and the material consciousness.<\/font>\n<\/p>\n
