\nTHE TWENTY-SECOND HYMN TO AGNI <\/b><\/font> <\/p>\n

\nA HYMN OF THE JOURNEY TO THE PERFECT JOY <\/b><\/font><\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n

\n[Man, the eater of things, seeks a fulfilment of his desires in a
\nfinal equality of delight. To this end he has to be purified by the divine
\nFlame, the Seer-Will who holds in himself the conscious vision and the utter rapture. By increasing him in us we
\nshall journey forward with our progressing sacrifice and the gods
\nwill utterly manifest themselves. We must entertain this divine
\nForce as the master of our house, our physical and mental body,
\nand give it all the objects of our enjoyment as its food.]<\/font>
\n<\/font><\/p>\n

    \n\tMan who seekest thy equal fulfilment in all, sing as the
    \nenjoyer of things the word of illumination to him of the
    \nbright purifying flame, to the object of our adoration in the
    \nmarch of our sacrifices, to the priest of the offering most
    \nrapturous in the creature.<\/font> <\/font><\/li>\n

    \n\tSet within thee Will that knows all the
    \n\tbirths, the divine sacrificer in the seasons; today let thy sacrifice march forward
    \nunceasingly, thy sacrifice shall open to thee the whole epiphany of the godheads.<\/font>
    \n\t<\/font><\/li>\n

  3. \n

    \n\tMortals, we have set our mind on thee the divine, for thou
    \nhast the mind of conscious vision; we meditate on thee as
    \nwe journey, that we may increase and for the increase too of
    \nthee, the supremely desirable.<\/font> <\/font><\/li>\n

  4. \n

    \n\tAwake then, O Will, to the vision of this within us; this is
    \nour word to thee, O Lord of Force. Strong-jawed enjoyer,
    \nmaster of our house, the eaters of things increase thee by
    \ntheir affirmations and by their words they make thee a thing
    \nof bright gladness.<\/font> <\/font><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
