\nTHE THIRTEENTH HYMN TO AGNI <\/font><\/p>\n

<\/b><\/p>\n

\nA HYMN OF AFFIRMATION OF THE DIVINE WILL<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n

\n[The Rishi declares the power of the Word affirming the
\nDivine Will who attains to the touch of heaven for man. That
\nWill affirmed in us by the word becomes the priest of our sacrifice and the winner in us of the divine riches and of the energy
\nthat conquers. This godhead contains all the others in its being
\nas the nave of a wheel contains the spokes and therefore brings
\nus all the varied wealth of the spiritual felicity.]<\/font>
\n<\/font><\/p>\n

    \n\tChanting the word that illumines we call to thee, chanting
    \nthe word that illumines we kindle thee, O Will, chanting the
    \nword that illumines for our increase.<\/font> <\/font>\n\t<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    \n\tToday we seize with the mind the affirmation all-effective,
    \nthe hymn of the Will, of the godhead that seeks for us our
    \ndivine substance,<\/font>\u00b9<\/font> of him who touches the heavens.<\/font>
    \n\t<\/font><\/li>\n

  3. \n

    \n\tMay the Will accept with love our words, he who is here as
    \nthe priest in men; may he offer the sacrifice to the divine
    \npeople.<\/font> <\/font><\/li>\n

  4. \n

    \n\tVery wide and ‘vast art thou, O Will, the priest of our
    \noffering desirable and beloved; by thee men extend wide the
    \nform of their sacrifice.<\/font> <\/font><\/li>\n

  5. \n

    \n\tThee, once rightly affirmed, the illumined increase,
    \n\tO Will,
    \nso that thou conquerest utterly the plenitude; therefore do
    \nthou lavish on us a complete hero-energy.<\/font>
    \n\t<\/font><\/li>\n

  6. \n

    \n\tO Will, as the nave of a wheel contains the spokes, so thou
    \ncontainest in thy being all the gods; thou shalt bring to us a
    \nvaried joy of those riches.<\/font> <\/font><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \n\u00b9<\/font>The divine riches which are the object of the sacrifice.<\/font>
