\nA HYMN OF <\/font><\/p>\n

\nTHE SPLENDID SOULS WHO ATTAIN <\/font><\/p>\n

<\/b><\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n

\n[The Rishi prays to the divine Flame to work in him by the
\ntriple force of Power, Knowledge and Delight. He speaks of the
\nsplendid souls of knowledge in our humanity who attain to the
\nTruth and Vastness; they are the burning and overpowering
\nflame-rays of this transcendent Conscious-Force of the Divine
\nthat is at work in us to climb to divine mastery. Some have
\nbecome such souls, others are still hampered but growing. He
\ndesires the increasing affirmation of Agni so that all may advance
\nto a rich and all-comprehending universality.]<\/font><\/p>\n

    \n\tO Flame, O Ray in our limited existence, bring for us an
    \nillumination full of utter energy, by an all-encompassing
    \nfelicity cleave forward our path towards the plenitude.<\/font> <\/li>\n

  2. \n

    \n\tO Flame, thou supreme and wonderful thing, .it is thou who
    \nby force of will becomest in us the greatness of discerning
    \npower; in thee the all-harmonising Friend in the sacrifice
    \naccomplishes the work and climbs to divine mastery.<\/font>\u00b2<\/font><\/li>\n

    \n\tThou, O Strength, increase the advancing<\/font>\u00b3<\/font> and the growth
    \nof these who are splendid souls of knowledge that by their
    \naffirmations of thee attain to our fullnesses.<\/font> <\/li>\n

  4. \n

    \n\tThese are they, O Strength, O Delight, who have a happy
    \nrichness of the swift forces of life and turn to a happy light
    \nthe words of the thought, souls puissant with hero-puissances, for whom even in
    \n\theaven<\/font>4<\/font><\/sup>
    \n\tis the Vastness; of itself<\/font> <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \n\u00b9<\/font>Mitra, the Lord of Love, who introduces the principle of harmony into the workings
    \nof the divine effort in us and thus combines all the lines of our advance, all the strands of our
    \nsacrifice until the work is accomplished in the supreme unity of Knowledge, Power and
    \nDelight.<\/font><\/p>\n

    \n\u00b2<\/font>Asuryam,<\/i> the god-power, the mastering force of the Lord, the divine "Asura" in us.    <\/font><\/p>\n

    \n\u00b3<\/font>Or, "attainment".<\/font><\/p>\n

    \n4<\/sup> That is to say, on the heights of the pure mentality where it meets with and passes into
    \nthe vastness of the superconscient.<\/font><\/p>\n

    \nits perfect working awakes to knowledge for these.<\/font><\/p>\n

      \n\tThese are thy flaming rays, O Strength, that go blazing violently and are like lightnings that run over all the quarters
      \nand are like a resonant chariot that speeds towards the
      \nplenitude.<\/font> <\/li>\n

    2. \n

      \n\tNow, O Strength, alike may those that
      \n\tare beset and hampered attain to expansion and the soul’s riches and may
      \nthese our splendid souls of knowledge traverse all the
      \nregions<\/font>\u00b9<\/font> and beyond.<\/font>\n\t<\/li>\n

    3. \n

      \n\tO Strength, O Soul of Puissance, when thou art affirmed and
      \nin thy affirming, bring to us, O priest of the offering, felicity,<\/font>\u00b2<\/font>
      \nof an all-pervading forcefulness for all that affirm thee and
      \nfor thy affirmation again. March with us in our battles that
      \nwe may grow.<\/font> <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      \n\u00b9<\/font>The regions of the heavens of the mental existence which have all to be embraced in our
      \nconsciousness and overpassed.<\/font><\/p>\n

      \n\u00b2<\/font> That richness and abundance in the soul
      \nfull of divine possessions which is its spiritual
      \nprosperity or felicity, an image of the infinite store of the divine Bliss and by which it advances
      \nto an ever greater and more richly-equipped wideness of its being.<\/font><\/p>\n
