\nTHE GIVERS OF SELF-RULE <\/font><\/p>\n

<\/b> <\/p>\n

\n <\/p>\n

\n[The Rishi invokes Varuna, the vast form of the Truth, and
\nMitra the beloved, godhead of its harmonies and large bliss,
\nwho conquer for us the perfect force of our true and infinite
\nbeing, to change our imperfect human nature into the image of
\ntheir divine workings. Then the solar Heaven of the Truth is
\nmanifested within us, its wide pasture of herding illuminations
\nbecomes the field of journeying of our chariots, the high thoughts
\nof the seers, their purified discernment, their rapid inspirations
\nbecome ours, our very earth becomes the world of that vast
\nTruth. For then there is the perfect movement, the transcendence
\nof this darkness of sin and suffering. We arrive at self-empire, a
\nrich, full and vast possession of our infinite being.]<\/font>

    \n\tO mortal who awakenest to knowledge, call to thee the two
    \ngodheads who are perfect in will and destroyers of thy
    \nenemy. Direct your thoughts to Varuna of whom Truth is
    \nthe form and to the great Delight.<\/font>\u00b9<\/font><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \n <\/p>\n

      \n
    1. \n

      \n\tFor it is they who attain to the undistorted force and the
      \nentire mightiness. Then shall thy humanity become as if
      \nthe workings of these gods; it is as if the visible heaven of
      \nlight<\/font>\u00b2<\/font> were founded in thee.<\/font>
      \n\t<\/font><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      \n\u00b9<\/font>The satisfaction given by Mitra, founding the large bliss of the Truth-plane. Varuna
      \nof the infinities gives the wide form, Mitra of the harmonies the perfect joy of the energies of
      \nthe Truth, its complete mightiness. <\/font><\/p>\n

      \n\u00b2<\/font>Or, "Swar of the vision", the world of light where is the full vision of the Truth. <\/font> <\/p>\n

        \n\tTherefore you, O gods, I desire, \u2014 for the rushing of these
        \nchariots your wide pasture of the herds. Forcefully by our
        \nhymns our minds seize on his perfect affirmation when the
        \ngod receives our bounteous offerings.<\/font> <\/font>\n\t<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          \n\tThen indeed, O transcendent godheads, you conquer the
          \nseer-wisdoms by the full floodings of the illumined discernment; you perceive knowledge for these human creatures
          \nby a perception in which the judgment is purified.<\/font> 
          \n\t<\/font><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          \n <\/p>\n

            \n
          1. \n

            \n\tO wide Earth, that Vast, that Truth for the movement of
            \ninspired knowledge of the sages! Widely the Twain speed
            \nwith full capacity, our chariots pass streaming beyond<\/font>\u00b9<\/font> in
            \ntheir travellings.<\/font> <\/font><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              \n\tWhen, O Mitra, you have your far-voyaging vision and we
              \nare the illumined seers, may we arrive in the effort of our
              \njourney to a self-empire<\/font>\u00b2<\/font> spread out widely open and
              \ngoverning its multitudes.<\/font> <\/font><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              \n\u00b9<\/font>Beyond the darkness and the enemies, the suffering and evil of the lower existence.
              \n<\/font><\/p>\n

              \n\u00b2<\/font>Svārājya.
              \nSvārājya<\/i> and sāmrājya,<\/i> perfect empire within and without, rule of our inner
              \nbeing and mastery of our environment and circumstances, was the ideal of the Vedic sages,
              \nattainable only by ascending beyond our mortal mentality to the luminous Truth of our being,
              \nthe supramental infinities on the spiritual plane of our existence. <\/font><\/p>\n
